Dear TRILIFE family,
Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging and uncertain time. TRILIFE Church will always consider the safety and health of our church family and friends in our decision making. After much prayer and careful thought, we have decided to close the church building until Tuesday, April 7, 2020, in compliance with the governor’s executive order limiting gatherings of 25 people or more to prevent the spread of COVID-19. While closing the church building is a very difficult decision, we felt that it was essential to keep you and our staff safe. We will be sanitizing high traffic and frequently touched areas during the closure. We also recognize that the decision may cause some of us to feel cut-off and isolated but we are setting up systems for everyone to stay connected.
We will be live-streaming Sunday messages at 10:00 AM for the next three Sundays (March 22, March 29, April 5). We encourage you to gather (no more than 10) in one another’s homes to watch the services, celebrate, and share a meal together. We do ask to discern that if you are not feeling well or have any signs of sickness to remain home.
We want to let you know that we are thinking of you and would like to provide as much support as possible for our church family during the building closure period. Currently, we are putting together a plan to keep everyone connected. Connection is vitally important, as we remember that the church is about relationships. Church is the people and not the building. The Holy Spirit’s timing in giving us messages about the Church, reading and applying the Bible, and living out our faith in our community is perfect for the situation we are currently experiencing. This is such a time to put into practice what we have been teaching during the past few months - to love one another, to pray for one another, to care for one another.
We encourage you to take advantage of this time and tarry/wait before the Lord, read the Bible and journal what God has to say to you. Also, almost two years ago I asked for a call to action to unite as a church and pray at noon every day. I encourage you to set your alarms at noon to pray in unity for our nation, for our leaders, pray against the schemes of the enemy that affects our land, economy, and people. Please pray that the Body of Christ unites, stands firm in faith in our hope in Christ, and is bold and confident in sharing the gospel.
Additionally, we will be providing tips and suggestions for families to live out our faith in community. Most of our communication will be done via Facebook and email. If you know anyone in our church family that does not have access to a computer, smartphone or tablet; please reach out to them and share this letter or call them and read it to them.
Be encouraged that the Holy Spirit is with you. Let us live out our faith in community. Model living with hope and not fear. Share your “go to” verses such as Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
This will pass. We believe and know that God is in control. We will continue to communicate information as things change and encourage you to reach out at any time with questions or concerns.
In the hands of Christ,
